As the Head of Art, I was responsible for managing and mentoring an art team across multiple projects. During my tenure, I successfully Art Directed several casual sports VR titles, including ForeVR Bowl, ForeVR Darts, ForeVR Pool, and ForeVR Cornhole.
Working with several outsourcing vendors and external partners, I directed the creation of high-quality art content and established art pipelines and effective processes to deliver AAA quality art for VR. I also created style guides and Brand bibles, ensuring that our studio’s art remained consistent and appealing across all titles.
In addition, I was responsible for producing art content for marketing and Live Ops, ensuring that our studio’s marketing materials and in-game assets were of the highest quality. I also produced pitch decks and presentations for the Executive Team, showcasing the studio’s art capabilities and help funding.
Built and and maintained a world-class art team. I successfully recruited and hired top talent, ensuring that our team remained strong and capable of delivering AAA quality art content for VR.
Studio Art Director, Glu Mobile/Electronic Arts, Foster City, CA [2016 – 2021]
As the Studio Art Manager, I was responsible for managing and mentoring an art team of 20+ artists across multiple projects. During my tenure, I successfully Art Directed top-grossing mobile sports franchises including Tap Sports Baseball and WWE Universe, and an unreleased Deer Hunter title.
I worked closely with outsourcing vendors, created style guides and produced art content for marketing and Live Ops. In addition, I created studio-specific brand art, ensuring that our studio stood out from the competition.
One of my major responsibilities was to build and maintain a world-class art team. I successfully recruited and hired top talent, ensuring that our team remained strong and capable of delivering high-quality art content.
In addition to art direction, I oversaw the creation of all art assets for marketing and Live Ops, ensuring that the content was delivered on time and to the highest possible quality standards.
Finally, I was responsible for directing the interior design of a brand new office building, ensuring that the studio environment was both visually appealing and functional for everyone.
Overall, my role as Studio Art Manager required exceptional leadership, communication, and management skills. I took pride in my ability to create a positive and inclusive work environment that fostered creativity and collaboration, while also ensuring that projects were delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest possible quality standards. Principle Art Director, Electronic Arts/Maxis, Redwood City, CA [2006 – 2016]
As Art Director for the award-winning franchise, The Sims, including The Sims 2, The Sims 3, and The Sims 4, I was responsible for leading the creation of high-quality art content for PC and mobile titles. Additionally, I established art processes and pipelines for the studio, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
Managing a very large team of artists, I provided mentorship, feedback, and direction on art quality and direction. As part of this role, I drafted style guides and documentation for both internal and external use, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.
In addition, I was responsible for interviewing and hiring artists, ensuring the team was staffed with the most talented and capable individuals available. I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, programmers, and producers, to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.
As part of my role, I also led R&D art for new titles and platforms, ensuring that the studio remained at the forefront of innovation and creativity in the industry. This included staying up to date on the latest technologies and techniques, and experimenting with new approaches to art creation.

As a Project Manager, I led the production of console titles from conception to completion, working closely with both internal development teams and external partners. I was responsible for communicating with Publishers and other stakeholders, ensuring that everyone was aligned on project goals and timelines.To ensure smooth and successful project delivery, I managed schedules and tasks for the entire development team, tracking progress and identifying potential bottlenecks or risks. I was skilled in prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that resources were allocated efficiently to meet project objectives.
